Vintage Tennis was started about 1983 by Mary Louis McGregor, with the help of Barbara Cooper. Mary Louise realized the need for seniors to play tennis in a relaxed, fun-filled environment. Marie Cheeseman served as President of Vintage Tennis from 1998 to 2010 and is an honorary life member.

Thirteen people attended the first meeting and about twelve people came to the first match, which was nightime at Tuscawilla Country Club. About 150 enthusiastic folks joined the first big Sunday at Orlando Tennis Center. Vintage Tennis was off to a great start.

Through the years Vintage Tennis has flourished and continues to offer weekly play for men and women 50 and over. We play tennis the old-fashioned way, for fun, fitness, and fellowship. We meet on Fridays throughout the year for light-hearted competition in round-robin mixed doubles.
